信義中學屬Band2中學，校風嚴謹，重視紀律與全人發展，初中設制服團隊及活動要求。功課壓力因班別而異，精英班較重。教學資源不俗，英文教學有特色。面試流程多元但曾有信件誤解事件。適合紀律性強、願意配合學校要求的Band2學生。
校風嚴謹，初中硬性規定參加制服團隊及體育/藝術活動，欠交功課留堂並記缺點，設臻善計劃助改過。區內小學老師曾建議Band2學生首選，但2024年有Band1教師子女未選，反映校風評價有分歧。
功課量因班別而異，精英班教得快、功課多、默書Quiz密，普通班較輕鬆。2010年曾指功課少，2018年有學生做到晚上11點，2019年中一較多，2023年英文功課淺，整體壓力中等偏上。
