將軍澳官立中學早年校風差，經改革後明顯改善，現為區內英中之一。功課壓力大，課程深，適合學術能力強、能承受壓力的學生。師資有讚有彈，部分老師用心，但官校師資或不及津校。收生門檻高，多為B1學生。學校低調，透明度一般。適合追求傳統官校教育、能自律且學業基礎扎實的家庭。
