校風整體尚可，但早年有個別學生行為問題（2007年粗口事件），且2013年有家長投訴考試評分過嚴，有標籤學生之嫌。近年未見明顯負評，管教風格趨向常規。
Homework pressure2009-2016
多年來被指課程深、功課多，屬「谷」的學校。2009年已見功課默書多，2013年小三功課量極多，2014年課程深，2016年仍被指功課多且谷。整體壓力持續偏高，但派位不俗。

有家長因黃大仙英中學額少而插班他校，反映該校訓練有素，插班試競爭激烈（2014年）。但樣本單一，未能全面反映插班文化。

師資流動性大是主要問題：2012年英文科老師相繼離職，2013年有曾任教者指行政混亂、英文科老師年年流失。但2014年有家長稱老師對孩子好，溝通頻繁。2020年參觀時見老師較年輕，資深老師少，或影響經驗。
