DSS/private primary schools
DSS, private, and international primary schools don't follow POA; each admits independently, usually earlier than the government/aided track, so you can plan them alongside POA.

In the second semester of K2, you should start looking at school info sessions and application windows.

Apply to each school
Application, interview, and release dates vary by school; you can apply to multiple schools at once.
- After admission
Deposit decision
You need to pay a deposit to hold a place, but POA results usually aren't out yet—this time gap is a real financial trade-off.
Easiest to get wrong
- Accepting a DSS Primary 1 place does not affect POA participation, but at registration you can only choose one.
