First, get a "Registration Certificate" from the EDB, then apply to kindergartens yourself and attend interviews; in 1 month, take the certificate to register at one kindergarten. Registration secures the place.

Easiest to get wrong
- After registration, transferring kindergartens requires retrieving your registration certificate (the original school immediately releases your place), and registration fees are generally non-refundable—factor in the cost of switching.
